In the News

Thank You to the Community

Thank You BBP

On behalf of the Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce, we would like to thank our community for their generous support of the first stage of the ongoing Beautification Project!  Our lamp posts look wonderful and inviting for residents and visitors alike.  Thank you to all our Lamp Post Sponsors for getting our committee’s vision of blooming flowers along Montauk highway off to a smashing start in time for summer!

For those of you who attended our first fundraising events this spring, (brunch at Blackbirds Grille in Sayville and afternoon tea at St. Ursula Center in Blue Point), your generosity, support, and devotion to our dream was invaluable in turning it into reality.  Finally, to the local merchants and community members who donated raffle prizes for our fundraisers, your contributions were the crown jewels at our events.
It takes a village to raise a child and in turn, it takes the village to make a community shine!  Our ultimate goal is to reflect the wonderful residents and merchants in our vision of a revitalized Bayport-Blue Point.

All the best,
Carol & Christopher

If you would like to continue to support the Chamber’s Beautification Project, we will hold our next fundraising event on August 23 at the Phoenix Art Gallery for a paint-and-sip night.  Proceeds of the event will go towards dressing up our lamp posts for the holiday season with custom wreaths.
For those in the community who would like to sponsor a lamp post for the holidays ($250), please visit the chamber website at to complete a sponsorship form, or simply visit the following locations and ask about what you can do for the Beautification Project:
Razing Hair (730 Montauk Highway, Bayport)
